SUMMARY ´ In His Blood In His BloodWow I wasn't expecting anything when I began this short novel I picked it up from the Munsey's website a little while ago and then selected it on my Kindle with a random pot shotIt took only a few pages to realize that I was reading something specialMilton Raskob a remarkably ordinary looking man in his early thirties works as a colour separatist at a chemical company Like many downtrodden men in nondescript jobs Raskob one day receives a slight from his hated boss This slight is one too many for a man who has felt bullied his whole life; and to show his boss and everyone else that he's an important man he takes his knife to the streets and butchers a little girlWhat follows is a string of child murders that shocks a cityLt Tanager is the cop i

SUMMARY ´ In His Blood In His Blood'50s NoirIn the mid 1950s and early 1960s Harold R Daniels wrote crime novels mostly for paperbacks and some short stories I think that he's disappeared into the literary mist which is a shame because the books are competently done and worth reading This one is his debut noveland got an Edgar nomination for best first mystery It's the story of a mass murderer of children told mostly from the viewpoint of the killer and the policeman trying to track him down Plot and characters are interesting and well drawn and while the book is noirish it is from the 50s and so not graphic It also contains some things that are not currently politically correct but not offensively And occasionally there are first book glitches And of course there are the mistakes that always seem to occur when printed books get transferred to e books but that's par for the electronic course isn't it In summary well done and worth reading
